Installing Stunnel and using Obfuscation in Windows

This guide works with all OpenVPN clients

Step 1.

Install Stunnel from the Developer here: https://www.stunnel.org/downloads.html

Step 2.

Edit/replace the configuration and save with the following details:

File: C:\Program Files(x86)\stunnel\config\stunnel.conf

(You can also right click the Stunnel icon in your taskbar and select (Edit Configuration')

Content:

pid = /usr/local/etc/stunnel/stunnel.pid

output = /usr/local/etc/stunnel/stunnel.log

[openvpn-localhost]

client = yes

accept = 127.0.0.1:9876

connect = XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:9876

Step 3.

Replace X's in the last line with the IP address or Host/Domain name you'd like to connect to. These can be found in the .ovpn files, or the full location/IP list on our site.

I.E. 5.252.177.36 or bend1.metahumanvpn.network for Bend, Oregon, etc.

Step 4.

Start Stunnel by running the application from your start menu or it's install folder. You'll see it's icon in your taskbar now.

Step 5.

Import *Stunnel.ovpn profile into your OpenVPN client and connect. Enter credentials when prompted.

CONGRATS! YOUR INTERNET TRAFFIC IS NOW SAFE FROM DEEP PACKET INSPECTION!

Using a different server:

You'll need to edit the configuration again using the steps above, then right click the Stunnel icon in your taskbar and select 'Reload Configuration', then repeat Step 5 with the new *Stunnel.ovpn profile.
